Xactware Party at Olympic Park

Cody really has a lot of perks that come with his job! One of them is the company parties. They are huge events and I don't think any employee will ever miss one of them. We got free admission into Park City's Olympic Park Saturday afternoon, dinner, free sweatshirts, and a freestyle aerial ski jumping show that night.

Extreme Rafting- They wetting down this ski jump hill and sent people down it on a river raft! Crazy!

We had fun in the museum looking at the display of the SLC Olympics.

The bobsled! Cody was in heaven and wanted to be in the back (the roughest seat in the house). It went 70 miles an hour! Only it was over in less than 1 minute.

The zip line. We got several rides and had so much fun!
Here is a short video of the ski jumping. I can't explain how cool it is so you will just have to watch. The coolest part was the CEO was picked to do the first jump- pretty intense for a first timer. Most of the athletes in this show will compete in the winter olympics this year.

Utah State Capitol Bldg and Hike to Pittsburg Lake

We were lucky to have Chad and Allison come back to UT this weekend to play! We have missed them so much since they moved to Idaho. We have been able to see them a lot since we are still close but it was fun to get together again. The boys played church football and tore it up Sat am. It started to rain but we weren't about to let it ruin our day... We went to to Capitol building for a tour. It was very cool! We might have had a little too much fun taking pics and peeking in all the sealed doors. The Capitol building is huge! Strike a pose! We know how to "Represent"

A few of the fun pics we took!

I love this staircase! I just need a pretty princess dress to walk down those steps in like a fairy tale. I already have my handsome prince!

We look so little!

After the tour it was sunny and beautiful so we set out for our hike (our original plan). We hiked to pittsburg lake! It was steep and rocky but it was a beautiful lake! Buster LOVES to hike! He even scared some birds and went for a swim.

Chad- King of the Rock! Doing "the look." Making Cody proud!

We made it before dark.. but had to hurry back! Quite the bumpy road but worth it! We love to hike together. I think nature brings us closer- there is something about being out in the mtns with the fresh air and green trees....

Buster swimming. I have never seen a dog that loves water so much! It just wouldn't be the same if he didn't.

Beautiful views! We finished off the night with some good food! Much like old times! We are lucky to have such fun siblings (and friends)! Love you guys!

4-wheeling with Friends & A Sunset Drive

We planned to go 4-wheeling with some friends this weekend and well.. it didn't turn out as we planned but we still had fun! They just got some new wheelers and I dare say we broke them in good. We rode to Cascade Springs and took the long way back. Then we had some yummy foil dinners and made it home safe and sound despite an unexpected mishap (or 3) during the ride!
It was still green at Cascade Springs and we loved the fresh water.
We went exploring the other night and drove up the mountians west of Utah Lake- Lake Mountain Peak we think. It was a bumpy ride but fun to get out of the commotion of the city. We both had busy weeks at work and needed a break. The view was so pretty. Utah lake is so huge and we could see all the way to SLC.

Cody is always up for a rugged drive- It always reminds us of when we were dating- we have the best memories of time spent driving around in the Mtns because we didn't want to go home!

Buster came along and did surprisingly well in the back of the truck! Cody had fun exploring the VOR on the top of the mountain (signal for pilots not to hit the mtn).
Pretty Sunset. We went at the perfect time!

I am ready for a calm week at work now- ha like that will happen! Mondays are the busiest but Friday is only 5 days away then another fun adventure we hope!
