Hippie Chick/Mothers Day

I had the best weekend ever! Thanks to my sweet husband!

I ran a 1/4 marathon called 'The Hippie Chick' Sat am. They were such great supporters! Londyn ran across the finish line with me and loved the hippie necklaces and mister fans. Cody went to a lot of trouble to get us all there and taken care of. The weather was amazing!!
Pre-Race Jitters..

The definition of Hippie Chick!

Londyn is dang FAST!!

We won!!!

I was the Luckiest Hippie Chick

At the finish we got necklaces, Londyn's was a large peace sign. It went well with her little jogging outfit.

It was like running through sprinklers.

Pancake breakfast + free jamba juice

Officially 'Oregon Hippie Chicks'

We do anything to get a smile...

She wanted Daddy to throw her higher!

After the race we hung out in Portland. There is lots to see and do, especially on a sunny day. We walked the Eastbank Esplanade and visited the OMSI museum. We did a motion simulator ride and swam with the dolphins.

You can tour this submarine- the USS Blueback
Voodoo donuts are famous in Portland. They put a fun spin on eating a donut.  Seriously tho- that bacon maple bar is DANG GOOD!

Cody told me for Mothers Day he got me some hanging baskets. I went outside to look and found a surprise! I want to do the Relief Society triathlon in August. Now I can! Londyn even made a cute picture in Nursery and I got a tomato plant from church! What a good day!

Even without the gifts, it was the best Mothers Day ever. Cody is always so good to me. He made breakfast and dinner and didn't make me do a thing. He says he has high expectations for Fathers Day tho.

7 Years of Marriage

We went to the temple and I went shopping in Portland (best day ever) the Saturday before our anniversary. I had to work on Monday but we had to do something. We took Londyn and went to Portland for dinner at a great restaurant called Stanfords. It will become a regular place to eat when we go to Portland now!  Plus it is right by the temple. And we didn't want to leave Londyn again- She was so good at dinner and it was fun to celebrate all together.
Cody was totally sweet and had my ring repaired and cleaned and gave it to me before work that morning. I was excited to get it back as some guy in the break room had mistaken me for a single woman (false advertising) and I missed wearing it but didn't want to risk losing a diamond. It was sparkly and I got comments all day. Cody surprised me at dinner with yet another gift, Pearls my Mom got from our trip to Hawaii made into earrings. He is sweet and I am so lucky to be loved by him. Thanks to you who remembered our special day. And those who shared it with us 7 years ago. We watch our wedding video every anniversary and seeing faces of friends, roommates, YW leaders that traveled so far truly makes me feel loved.
Londyn was taking a pic of Cody. 2 yr old is officially the hardest age to get a pic of.

Monster Mash

FUNNIEST. VIDEO. EVER!!!

Saturday at the Woodenshoe Tulip Festival

I love tulips! My Mom always took us to Skagit County to the tulip festival. I was excited to find Oregon had their own tulip festival. We needed some bright colored pictures for our front room so we took the camera and hoped to capture some. Major Fail! Londyn wouldn't look at the camera AT ALL! At least when I was behind it. For Family pics I told her Gma wanted a pic of us and she did pose next to me.

Londyn loved to run down the rows of flowers. She didn't last long before she had a lesson about not picking them (notice the one in her hand eek).

Fun Wooden Shoes. Totally remind me of Danskos. You think?

Perfect day. I even got a little sun. In Oregon you really appreciate the sunny days. And anything bright and colorful.

A Horse Swing.

And a fun slide. They had tons for kids to do. Londyn was feeling brave until we tried to put her on a pony ride.

Please pretty please look at the camera...

You could almost loose Londyn in the colorful flowers!

Print worthy :o) Still some photo-shopping to do.

Yep, it's only when I am behind the camera.
Her adventures didn't end when we got home. She decided to overcome any and all fear and....
climbed to the top of my elliptical machine! [BUT notice how she is LOOKING and SMILING at the camera?!?! She even said cheese] Like that wasn't bad enough. She then straddled that bar and said "Riding Horsey" I was too freaked to take a pic.

Seriously I walk into the room now and this is where I find her!! Time to move it into the garage I guess.. Or put a lock on my door!
