Cody's Six Flags Theme Park

This is what I get for asking him to do the laundry while watching Londyn, should have known....

Cody got quite the workout...

Londyn tries to re-create this moment ever since it happened. She gets the monkey even, and climbs in any basket, looks up and smiles like, "I'm ready." I can barely lift that basket when it's full of clothes!

Portland Childrens Museum with Amy

WATER! She jumped in every puddle in the parking lot. We met my good friend Amy from my childhood at the museum. Londyn couldn't wait for them to get there, she was ready to play!

This was a neat little boat/duckie racing pool. Londyn was soaked.

Don't forget to brush the alligators teeth.

This is Amy and her sweet kiddos. Amy and I have been friends since I believe the 4th grade. Funny how some things never change. It was so great to see her again. My funniest memory of Amy is of her kicking my mean older sister in the shin SO HARD and screaming. She was dead serious. It was so funny. Glad I had a good friend to defend me at times. Amy is an attorney and has great empathy for Cody and I as we journey through law school.

Check out the face painting!!! I wish I had a scanned pic of us as kids. We were best buds. I don't think we ever could have imagined where we would be almost 20 years in the future. I am sure we promised to be best friends forever. We were that close. I love this pic. It just says it all. We are crazy moms and career women, giving it our all! It was fun to share daycare stories and reconnect, we still have so much in common.

Amy introduced us to the museum and we are hooked now as we bought a membership for the whole year. We will have to do it again soon! They have a bunch of different activities and classes. The current one is the Lego Exhibit...
Such a cute knight.

Londyn tore apart all the legos. Yes my friends, she is almost 2! Destruction on wheels!

Such fun stuff all made of Legos. I think she was hoping for a fire breathing dragon.

Thanks for a good time Amy and kids. It was great to see you and we had a great time playing!
And we couldn't leave without lunch and hitting the slide..

Little Wigglers Gymnastics

Our week 3 adventure consisted of swings, rings, balls, trampolines, balance beams and friends; every kids dream. Londyn cried when it was time to leave. My friend Allison invited us to try out a gymnastics class with her daughter Kaitlyn. Both Codys came as well.

Buddies

Londyn loved to jump into the ball pit

Just like Aunt Bonnies. Apparently we need to get one of these. She loves it!!

Balance beam. Londyn practices this across our ottoman when the lid is up. She loved it.

Kaitlyn went all by herself.
I think I better sign Londyn up. It was like 30 minutes in heaven for her 20 mo old body!

A ReAL OrEgoN SNOw DaY

Our first Snow in Oregon came Sunday. It wasn't more than an inch or two.

Londyn woke and first thing we took her to look out the window. We told her it was snow and asked if she remembered what snow was.

She thought for a minute and yelled "NNOSE" and couldn't wait to get her hands on it. Within minutes she was dressed and ready.
Snow Angel

We got text messages and called indicating church was cancelled.
So we laughed it off then went out to play.
They held Sacrament meeting at 3 pm.

Snow seems more special here. Maybe I just like it more because I know it will be gone before I know it.

Londyn's first angel. The neighbor girls were teaching her what you do in snow.

At least we were prepared. Well with everything except a sled. Our neighbors Suzy and Marv had one tho.

 Lilia and Suzy sledding!!
Londyn loved sledding. We have the perfect hill right in our cul-de-sac.!
My prego neighbor and friend, Suzy.

So glad to be home to play!
Max had a snowman already assembled. We introduced Londyn.

Londyn says "weee" all the way down the hill. Mama was a scardy cat and had to slow down!
Something about the snow here being rare and all, makes it a lot more special and more fun! Glad we got to play in it!

NW Kids Club/Best Little Roadhouse

Cody and I have opposite schedules anymore. I have 2 days off during the week and he is off Saturdays while I work. So Londyn and I take advantage of the time we have together. Although we both look forward to when Daddy comes home!
Found the most fun princess tent at Target on clearance- benefits of having friends who do markdowns :) We spend many hours inside this small tent. All 3 of us!
Thursday we had a playdate planned with Kaitlyn. Londyn and Kaitlyn go to preschool together and Londyn gets so excited when Kaitlyn comes. She says "Kate" and gets so excited when we go to see her.
Londyn loves to slide

They had this cool teacup. Practicing for Disneyland. Amazing they knew what to do!
I love the expressions on both of their faces!

Best Buds! Londyn adores her older friend.

They learned the hard way you have to wait your turn on the slide.

We had a 3 kids pile-up, resulting in this large goose-egg on Londyn's head!

Getting creative, going down backwards!

I love this pic. Kaitlyn is such a cute girl.

Fun unicycle merry go round...

Parking the cars. Time to go home.
Allison and I got our play date as well. We happened to end up at Trader Joe's. I LOVE this store. It might be my new favorite place to go. There is so much good food. It is dangerous to go with Allison tho, she knows all the good things to buy.

My Dad says it is a hippie store :) maybe the hippie is growing on me, but I still never want a SUBARU! ~My car had some work done last week so they gave me an Outback for a rental- My friend Michelle says it's either I am a hippie in a subi or a pimp in my escalade. I choose pimp!.~

Our family adventure for Week #2 was dinner at Best Little Roadhouse. Cody picked it and it was a good choice! He had prime rib and coconut shrimp while I enjoyed some baja pasta- made with tequila. Yum. We made the observation that every "roadhouse" we go to is so loud! Why is that?

Jac's visits= lots of chocolate + fun

We had a surprise visit from my friend Jac on Wednesday.
It is always fun to get together and this time was no different.
We made the most amazing hot-cocoa-cookies. Most chocolatey cookies ever!
Londyn had her first beater-licking experience. She ate so much chocolate.
That's what you do when it's Girls night.

"Mmmmm!"
Jac played rosies and chase with us. Londyn grabbed her hand and took her in instantly. We had a yummy Hawaiian Time dinner and then Jac and I ran away to Northern Lights to see the movie MoneyBall.

Our 2012 Adventure Resolution Week 1

Happy New Year! We run in 2012 early and went to bed! We always make lots of resolutions but one in particular we will share on our blog! Being in Oregon has been one great adventure but with all the working and schooling we haven't had had much time for fun. So this year we made a resolution to have a new adventure every week and explore all that Oregon has to offer! Week 1 we found a new park and went for a run. Sounds lame but it was a great discovery for us to find a flat park in Oregon. We live in the hills of West Salem  so running on flat land was SO NICE! And finding time to run together was equally exciting.

It was a pretty morning

We taught Londyn about moss.

Lots of fun birds to see and hear.

We also went bowling with Cirac's at Town and Country Lanes and had frozen yogurt at Limeberry. Not bad for week 1.
