Tillamook Factory, Cannon Beach and Seaside, OR

I think this is a must do. Who doesn't love Tillamook Cheese- or better yet their Ice Cream!! Londyn loves to ride the cow. I can't figure out why Rick has this expression in all of the 4 pics I took- the look of a heifer?

This is how you experience Oregon. Like a hippie.
We continued up the coast to Cannon Beach and Seaside. We stayed two nights.
Haystack Rock, Cannon Beach. This is one of my favorite childhood destinations.

Wind blown again.

Londyn doesn't seem to mind the wind or the cold.

She just loves the sand!

We even found a Mermaid. We only watched that movie 10x that week.

I like this pic- she is mid-air. It really is a good representation of our child. Always jumping, running and happy.

Made it to Seaside!

We had fun walking the streets, seeing the sights and tasting the goods.

Cody found us resos at the Worldmark. We enjoyed the beach side resort and pool. It was fabuloso!

Just when Londyn thought the beach couldn't get any better- they have SWINGS!

Great pic of the sunset- totally stole it from Kathy. We got 1 day on the beach of sun and wind. It was great. Cody set up a little pop up tent, Londyn chased the birds, we all played in the sand and a little in the water. Can't wait to go back again sometime. We have an extra room if anyone feels the urge to come play...

The last morning we went for a walk on the beach to look for shells. Londyn found a bucket full and was so excited. My Mom loves the ocean and would always do this so Londyn remembered what to do. She also scared some birds away.

On the way home we stopped to take Londyn to the bathroom and ended up at pizza planet. Londyn (and Cody) had a blast.

Lifes a Beach! Florence to Lincoln

After I showered off and got dressed we decided to drive over to the coast. The Oregon coastline is amazing and we even caught the sun. The wind didn't let up for us but hopefully we will have a few good days later in the year.
This little girl couldn't wait to get out of the car and play on the beach. When you asked if she wanted to go to the beach she responded, "And the Sand? And the Sun? And the Bucket? The pink one?" She is pretty smart to remember all that.

Warm enough to get your feet wet.

A glimpse of the Beauty of the Oregon Coast. We stopped at Devils Punch Bowl for a glimpse.

We had to warn Cody's parents this wasn't your typical trip to the beach. When you bring a hat/shades, shorts, sandals and a coat you are in Oregon.

Windy! But loving it!

Another stop. Taking in the beauty.

It was great to play for a week. We haven't seen each other or had much time for trips like this.

Devils Punch Bowl

Cody's Mom and Dad checking out the surfers below. In the week they were here we traveled from Florence to Seaside so they saw almost all of the Oregon Coastline. More to come. .

Dirty Dash- Eugene, OR

The girls had a little fun of their own. They loved seeing their Mommies get Messy!
Rachel, Allison and I. Pre-Race Jitters

And we are off! 4 mi and 14 obstacles to go.

No worries. All the hay bales (7-8 rows) counted as 1 obstacle.
Dried mud- made great tan lines.

Serious fun! I was hesitant at the start but it turned out to be a blast.

Still Smiling!

Almost there!

He who has the most Mud wins!

What else would you run through in Oregon?

Love these girls. Who else crawls through the mud for fun?

Willamette Fruit Co., Riverfront Park & Bike Rides

We went to Willamette Fruit Co. for some pie and pick berries. They are so sweet and Yummy! Cody said these blackberries were as big as pine-cones.
Riverfront park- Carousel and Splash pad. Good thing Grandma was game for a ride.

Can't forget about the mini Sumo werstler.

We went to the Salem Art Festival and Londyn got her grove on with a little friend.

That night we rode our bikes at Minto Brown Park. Londyn watched a movie in her trailer since it was way past her bedtime it kept her happy. The next day Cody took his parents on a little ride.
