Fathers Day

O Rise, all loyal Cougars and hurl your challenge to the foe.

You will fight, day or night, rain or snow.
 Loyal, Strong, and True
 Wear the White and Blue.
While we sing, get set to spring.
Come on Cougars, it's up to you!
O Rise and Shout, the Cougars are out
Along the trail to fame and glory.
Rise and shout, our cheers will ring out,
As you unfold your vict'ry story.

On you go to vanquish the foe
For Alma Mater's sons and daughters.
As we join in song, in praise of you, our faith is strong.

We'll raise our colors high in the blue,

And cheer the Cougars of BYU!!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY CODY!! WE LOVE YOU!!

Vegas Family Style

Cody had some work in Vegas this last weekend. Londyn and I tagged along. Despite our colds we managed to have some fun. We got in Thurs night and Friday we took it easy. Friday night Cody's bro Kyle and his wife Katie joined us for some fun. We showed them around the strip, swam in the pool, and ate at the Cheesecake Factory. It was a fun time.

Cody is so whooped by Londyn, I used to have to beg him to swim. Good thing her cast is waterproof.

Londyn loved the Lions at the MGM

This one was for Dad K NY, NY- Statue of Liberty made of Jelly Belly's.

Uncle Kyle is so good to Londyn.

Someone is excited. She loves M&Ms. Especially when they are bigger than her.

Waiting for the shuttle.

Cody had to work some Sat. When he got back we were all ready to take a dip!

The gals in the pool
Kyle and Katie know if you go anywhere with me you gets lots of pictures :o) They are cute subjects.

Back to the strip for an adventurous night.

Cody loved the Cosmopolitan Resort by Marriott. It was VERY nice!

Londyn loved the aquarium. Can you see the HUGE sting ray? She was so excited about all the fish and would scream with delight when they would swim by her.

So happy!
We ate at the Cheesecake Factory. It was very good! The night ended early for Londyn and I. Cody took Kyle and Katie to see a few more sights. I ran all the way to the shuttle stop but missed it by minutes. Then I tried to go to the next one and got lost. Good thing I didn't gamble, I was very unlucky that night!

Hoodoo

We added a new word to our vocabulary this last week. We feel like our summer will be short with Cody starting school soon so we took advantage of a Wednesday night and went to Bryce Canyon to hike and camp as a family. I went years ago with some friends and I have always wanted to take Cody back. It is such a neat place and there is nothing in the world like it.

We got to the North Bryce Campground late at night and Londyn was still awake. We set up the tent while she sat in her little blue chair and played with the flashlight. After we set up the pack and play we realized we didn't bring any extra blankets so Londyn got to sleep in our sleeping bags. She did good tho. The next morning we watched a quick movie in the visitors center and headed out for our hike.

Londyn wanted to hike all by herself.
I love this pic of Cody and the red rock. Londyn was already asleep!

See the Hoodoos? We learned in the film about the decay process that takes place to form them.

They were so cool

I have the greatest hiking buddies!

We started at Sunset point and hiked to Queens trail then to pica boo loop. We were supposed to do a figure 8 but after we had seen it from one side we didn't want to backtrack. So instead we climbed a 1 mile hill to the top of Bryce Point where the shuttle stopped. If we did it again we would do it backwards :o)  It was about 4 miles and took about 2 hours total. Lots of hills but the weather was perfect in the 70's.

Picture of Bryce Point from what we thought was the top of the hill we had just climbed. We would end where the people are standing! This was taken with my zoom lens too. Look how small the people are! We both got our workout!

We enjoy hiking together! Londyn loves it too, as long as you bring enough fruit snacks! You can tell we are red and sweaty but don't look that close!

More Hoodoos

We thought it was cool there was sand on the top of the plateau's.

Love the wide open spaces and beautiful sights. It was so pretty at the end when we got up so high.

We made it!! One happy hiker! We had a picnic lunch and enjoyed the views.

Londyn LOVED the water fountain. She loves water from any source.

We drove down highway 16 through the most beautiful pass by Brian Head ski resort. There was this beautiful lake and tons of snow. It was gorgeous!

Babysitters & Cousins

I had to work a few days while Cody and his parents were outta town. Luckily my sister needed to make a trip to Utah to get her tattoos touched up (permanent makeup). Kyle was the greatest babysitter and loves Londyn to pieces. Londyn loves all her cousins but especially Kyle. He can make her laugh like no other!
For babysitting I took Kyle to my favorite place, the wing shak!

We felt so bad for Londyn with her arm, we gave her oreos.

The kids went stir crazy so we went on some fun adventures... to the park!

And on a little hike.

They were climbing up every rock and wall they could find.

This is the second time I carried Londyn up this hill.

We ended up at Battle Creek Falls, we intended to hike Dry Mouth Canyon but got turned around. It turned out good tho. I am so glad they came to stay!

L was pooped!

Playing Aggravation...Londyn loved to roll the dice!

I came home from work to find them playing Londyns favorite game...
