It was a Prime-Thanksgiving

We had the BEST Thanksgiving. Yep that's right. No turkey here :) We celebrated the day with prime rib! YUM! My parents brought Matthew to Salem with them. It was so fun to see them all and to show my Dad around town. They came to visit me at Target and he was a trooper and let me give him 2 shots! My Mom helped so much!
Everyone hanging out. Prime Rib is almost ready!

My parents know how to do it right!

Olive anyone?
My Dad had to have his hors d'oeuvre tray. And he taught Londyn what the hole in an olive is for.

We were supposed to go to Seattle to visit Grandma Muir but L got sick and my Dad's truck had a little issue so we didn't end up going. Instead they helped me put up Christmas Decor. Matty was a great helper and Londyn loved all the boxes!
Matty even got wore out!

Tripod, our neighbors cat. Londyn loves this kitty!
Matty had a blast with Londyn and in the hot tub!
Had to eat at Chang's

Londyn's first trip to Toys R Us and of course Gpa found a Harley

We miss them already but get to see them again in 2 wks! Londyn will love playing with all her cousins!

November Happenings

Londyn's favorite thing is to nap on the stairs. It is one of my favorite things now too. She snuggles her little bb. She is such a sweetheart!

November has been a crazy month! My boss got fired and I took his spot! I had to interview a few times and count every controlled substance in the pharmacy! So needless to say it has been a busy month. I like being in charge tho =)

Here is more of my little doll...

Londyn playing Ring Around-the-Rosie with her animals. It is one of her favorite games. If you start singing the song she will start twirling around and at the end she throws the animals down!

Just when you thought she couldn't get any cuter...

She does! I love this pic! What a sweetheart!

We went to the zoo with our friends and Londyn learned to say "Big elephant." The weather was perfect for November <3

Yikes! We had some (3) sickness interrupt our lives. Londyn got Hand Foot Mouth and on top of that had an allergic reaction to Amoxicillin she was taking for a cold-

Hives literally head to toe- hence the big t-shirt. Mouth sores were the worst part. She didn't sleep for nights on end! We were stuck home for days and got out Thomas the train to keep us from going crazy!

We got to check out the Gilbert house with our friends Rachel and Ruby. The girls had a blast and us Moms did too! :) Rachel had a 10 lb baby last week and looks unbelievable in these pics (taken only days b4!) She has been great to us as we adjusted to live in OR!

Tea time!
Same age.. totally not fair all that hair!!

We enjoy our days off!

Portland Zoo on $4 day

We found a great little adventure for cheap. Allison found a $4 day at the zoo every 1st Tuesday of the month. So fun! These girls love animals and the zoo.

Remember The Sabbath Day, To Keep it Holy

I have wondered lately why the 60-78% of people who call themselves Christians in the US don't follow the Commandment to Keep the Sabbath day Holy. Anymore, Sunday is just another day. Target is busier on Sunday than Saturday! But these people don't even look post-churchy, they aren't buying last minute ingredients for dinner, emergency meds or things they absolutely need, they are just shopping. Running Errands. Because of all these people choose to shop on Sunday people like me get to work every other week on Sunday. I never realized the importance of following the commandment, but if people didn't shop on Sunday I wouldn't have to work on Sunday. Understandably, my opinions are stronger because I recently moved out of Utah. However, when people try to say Mormons aren't Christians, they couldn't be more wrong. I dare say Mormons are more Christian than any other type of Christian. If you were to measure using the 4th Commandment that is..

I treasure Sundays when I can go to church with my family and be uplifted there. I am so thankful Londyn can go to nursery and be taught the gospel. I have a new testimony of the importance of keeping the commandments. I chose the profession I have and I am very grateful now to be able to support my family. :) Sorry for my rant. Here are some Sunday pics.

Londyn is so fun to dress up! She is just like a little doll. I can put her in anything and it looks good. She loves the boots!

It is getting harder and harder to get her to look at the camera! This cute jacket is from Paris- Thanks to Kamm & Holly!

I love this girl! I cherish my Sundays now more than ever before! And I hope you do too!

Autumn

We don't have much of a backyard but we do have a tree in our yard and it has covered our yard in colorful leaves.

I loved playing with the leaves in the backyard as a kid! Londyn didn't see what was so fun about them.

But she was pretty cute!

Londyn's first Trick or Treat!

Londyn got her first taste of the true meaning of Halloween. Candy! I (Cody), yeah its me again doing the blogging, got to take Londyn out on the town, or at least the neighborhood, actually she only made it to about 9 houses, short legs get tired very fast. Anyway, I got to show Londyn the finer points of trick-or-treating. She was a little apprehensive at first, but once she realized she was getting more and more candy at every house we went to she became pretty brave, even at the houses with the scary ghosts and skeletons and eerie noises.
I even taught her to do the knocking. She wanted that candy bad and would knock hard for it.
At about 5pm it was raining really hard and I told Londyn she would have to wear her rain boots to trick-or-treat in, welcome to Oregon I guess. It luckily stopped at 6pm but she still wanted so bad to wear the rain boots. She wouldn't let me carry the bucket for fear I would eat her candy. She knows me too well.
She was so cute in her Little Nemo costume. Everyone gave her a little extra candy for the cuteness. At least I think so, but maybe I am partial.
When we made it home Londyn was so proud of her treasures. She dumped them out on the floor and showed me her favorites. The suckers of course.
She did very well for her first time trick-or-treating, a father can only be so proud. (sniffle).
Someone even gave her an apple! The nerve.

Well we had a very successful evening. Halloween is so much more fun again, for me, because I remember the excitement of it by seeing Londyn's. Happy Halloween.
