Whirlybird party!

Cody and his brother Chad started flying last year. They love airplanes/helicopters and it is hilarious to watch them drool when anything flies by- They have had fun telling stories and training together. Chad got his helicopter pilot license so we celebrated with the family last week. We made him wear a cool heli hat and he broke the pinata! It was fun to celebrate and to eat a bunch of candy. Congrats Chad! We also went to the BYU game, went to see Susan Easton Black, then watched a movie on the projector and had a yummy quail dinner.

Good times!

Cody went to Detroit this week and got to see Justin and Julie and their little boy Cohen. He had a lot of fun and brought me back some apple cider and vinyl lettering (thanks to Julie). He loves Cohen and apparently Cohen liked him pretty well too- I love this pic of them playing together.
Buster doesn't get enough attention with Cody gone so he had a little fun of his own with our screen on our back door! You can't tell in the pic but he ripped it pretty well too. Now he sticks his head in the hole he made and begs for some food(pancakes today). He keeps us laughing!!
After we did some yardwork Sat, we headed out to the mtns again. We wanted to ride a lot further than we got to go on this hike but instead we had some other adventures and luckily we all made it back safely. There were a million people out hunting and no animals to be seen (no thanks to us.. hehe)
Cody and I at sunset- Allison and I- tough mountain women!

1st Snow 2008

We woke up to snow today! It was crazy but fun too. We played with Buster for a minute then came inside for some yummy hot cocoa and doughnuts and eggs- Cody is great at making breakfast! I am just glad it was today and not yesterday at the BYU game! The pic in the top left is my Gerbera Daisies covered in snow- they were still in bloom! It is supposed to be back in the 70's this week so it isn't winter yet..but it's comin'!

Girls just wanna have FUDGE!

We had a great weekend! It was fun to stay home and listen to conference and get stuff done. I did like 5 scrapbook pages and started a quilting project. BYU won Friday night and we had a little football party and some good food w/ some apple beer(my fav). The highlight of my weekend was a cooking class at thanksgiving point on Saturday. I LOVED it! I wanted to come home and make everything I learned to make. The lady that taught it was a 3rd generation candymaker and knew everything about making fudge and she made some amazing things. We got to taste all of them and got all the recipies. I learned to make Penouche and it was so good. But, my favorite were her caramel apples and chocolate popcorn! I wish I had more time but it is probably good that I don't! If anyone is interested in any other classes let me know, I would love to go back! Here is the link:
