Fathers Day 2012

For Fathers Day yesterday I took Cody to a fun restaurant in Salem that is right on the airport tarmac. He was in heaven and Londyn too. There were lots of airplanes taking off and we all enjoyed watching them.
Cody deserved a good Fathers Day. He is such a great Dad. I love that he picks Londyn up from school and enjoys his time with her. Lots of times Londyn will try to play a game her and Cody invented here at home and I have no IDEA what she wants me to do. Londyn also wants to dance whenever she hears music. Cody will dance with her anywhere- in the middle of a store, in the car, ANYWHERE. I love it. It isn't that he is whooped (which he is a bit) but that he is willing to be goofy and risk looking funny to make Londyn happy.
Ignore Londyns funny faces okay? Cody is sweet and has such a passion for airplanes. His new goal in life is to open 2 Law Firms or Business and have an airplane to commute between them. Oh and not just an airplane, a jet. Londyn was excited and said she wanted to fly with Daddy.
We enjoyed a yummy breakfast and will most likely be going back.
Happy Fathers Day Cody! Londyn even smiled (because I wasn't taking the pic?) We love you and couldn't have asked for a better Dad/Husband.

We toted Londyn around to run errands after breakfast so after her nap we decided to reward her with a trip to the Splash Park. She is obsessed with Swimming and this met her standards without requiring us to get wet. Win Win.

She LOVES her Daddy!

We both do!
So Cody doesn't forget- his Fathers Day gift. He got to ride it a little early.

Grand Rose Festival Parade and U Pick Strawberries on Sauvie Island

The Rose Parade!
Llamas!

Packy The Elephant from the Zoo

Enjoying an Oregon Parade- Sweatshirts and Shade all around.

Beep Beep. Ready to ride!
Cody had the idea to pick strawberries and make Jam. He found an island just west of Portland. It was fun to eat/pick berries. Oregon berries are like WA and they are the sweetest! And they make the best Jam.
Teaching Londyn the joys of U Pick

We loved the wagon we used to get Londyn and the berries around in.

Strawberry covered face.

You really cherish sunny days in the Spring here. Londyn loves to point out when the sky is actually blue.

Trip to Sunriver and Bend, OR

My Parents let us use their condos in Sunriver, OR so we ran away again for a long weekend. It was great for us just to spend some quality time together away from all the things that keep us so busy at home.
Londyn begged us to swim every second of every day! Bend gets over 300 days of sun a year so it will be a good place for us to runaway.

We cruised around town on our bikes. Cody was in HEAVEN when he found the airport with homes complete with hangers for your very own airplane. He is convinced he will own one of these houses one day.

Biker Fam- We told Londyn we were going to the swings, we rode around all of town and then found a park with swings. She did really good in the trailer.

She could swing and swim all day long!

We got her off the swings finally. Loved the park there.

My lil Monkey

More swinging

Riding the Zebra. She finally gave in and tried the other toys.

Painted Hills & Harley Trip with Mom and Dad

My Mom was sweet and let me ride with my Dad. She didn't mind riding in the car with Londyn. It was so fun to drive over the Blue Mountain Pass on the back of a Harley and take in all your surroundings. The temp changes, smells of the pine trees and getting to spend time with my Dad doing what he loves most!
We stayed at a Best Western in Hermiston, OR (north eastern Oregon) We got some yummy dinner, swam in the pool and Londyn somehow got lots of rides on these luggage carts, even tho Mommy told her no.
Getting ready to ride. Borrowed my mom's leathers and her jackets. Fun to have a Hot Harley Mama.

She made sure Londyn was well equipped too. Londyn was too scared to ride but she does talk about Grandpas Harley all the time so I know she will love it one day.

We rode all day Memorial Day, stopped for a great lunch, and a few pics along the way.

We had to end at the Painted Hills and head home but they all kept on going all week.

Glad to be out of the car! Londyn didn't love the Harley yet, but she will next year.

The Mild Hogs- all former members of the Kent 7th Ward- my home ward in WA. So fun to see everyone.

We had a great time with my parents and their friends. Thanks for letting us come crash your party.

My Loves!

Cute girls. Londyn loves the neighborhood kids.

Londyn and I playing with our sweet neighbors, Suzy and Lily.

We made some amazing Carne Asada- with Brazilian lemonade and chicken fajita flavored rice. YUM. Best part of it all- Londyn eating Limes. Cracked us up!

Love diaper cakes!

Londyn meets Fire Trucks= LOVE!

Iris Truck

Londyn drinking from the faucet. She learned this from Daddy. We have a water curfew at night (for potty training reasons) so she sneaks drinks whenever she can get them.
