We added a new word to our vocabulary this last week. We feel like our summer will be short with Cody starting school soon so we took advantage of a Wednesday night and went to Bryce Canyon to hike and camp as a family. I went years ago with some friends and I have always wanted to take Cody back. It is such a neat place and there is nothing in the world like it.
We got to the North Bryce Campground late at night and Londyn was still awake. We set up the tent while she sat in her little blue chair and played with the flashlight. After we set up the pack and play we realized we didn't bring any extra blankets so Londyn got to sleep in our sleeping bags. She did good tho. The next morning we watched a quick movie in the visitors center and headed out for our hike.
We started at Sunset point and hiked to Queens trail then to pica boo loop. We were supposed to do a figure 8 but after we had seen it from one side we didn't want to backtrack. So instead we climbed a 1 mile hill to the top of Bryce Point where the shuttle stopped. If we did it again we would do it backwards :o) It was about 4 miles and took about 2 hours total. Lots of hills but the weather was perfect in the 70's.

Wow! Londyn camps? Good for her! Starting her young ;) I LOVE the picture with the three of you in it.
PS - Where did Cody decide to go to school?
That first picture of you and Londyn looks like you are soo close to the edge! The hoodoos are really cool, and what awesome views. I'm jealous of the 70-degree weather! You guys do not look red and sweaty in your family shot--great pic! Excited to see more pictures... :)

I swear, Utah really does have some of the most beautiful places to see! I miss it so much!
