Another Day in Nauvoo

We started out in the flats touring the restored shops and homes. The boys favorite was the Browning Gun Shop.

My favorite was the pharmacy! They had lots of herbs, scales and even an old fashioned pill maker. Medicine has sure come a long way!

In the afternoon we went to the Nauvoo temple- It was a great experience and it is such a beautiful temple. There are 2 spiral staircases, one circular and one square. The oxen in the baptismal font appear knee deep in mud to represent the struggles of the early saints.

That night we ate dinner at the Nauvoo Hotel- a very fancy buffet. After we had a special invitation to Sister Blacks house! She drove us to some places we wouldn't go on the tour and then we played some ping pong. She is good- She beat everyone! Sister Black is a hilarious lady who is VERY young at heart.
